I'm trying to connect a Dell Latitude laptop to the LaserJet. I installed the drivers (the full set) and then came to the stage of connecting the printer. I select "Wireless", and the app does a network scan. The printer appears in the list of available devices (it's the only one). I select it, click "Next", and the connection app repeats the process: it does another network scan, finds the printer again, and asks me which printer I want to connect to. This goes on endlessly.
The printer is definitely on the same wireless LAN as the laptop (the IP shown in the list in the connection app matches the IP shown on the printer wireless information page).
I tried this with another computer (a Surface Pro), and it connected to the printer flawlessly, from which I infer that the problem must be with the Dell laptop. Does anyone have any suggestions for what I can try?

The layout of the web page for the printer is somewhat different from what you described below, but I disabled IPv6 and limited the printer to the 2.4 GHz band on the LAN. Then I added the printer using the Windows "add printer" facility, rather than doing it through the HP app. It connected without trouble (the drivers were already installed), and the printer is now reachable from the laptop.
Thanks for your help.

Thanks for this information. However, it describes exactly what I did. The problem I'm having is at point 3 of Step 3. HP Easy Start finds the printer, but when I select it and then click "Next", HP Easy Start doesn't connect to it. Instead, it re-scans the local network and finds the printer again. I can't get it out of this loop.
Just to clarify, this only happens on the Dell laptop. I had no trouble using HP Easy Start to connect to the printer on my Surface Pro.

Thank you for keeping me posted.
I recommend you follow the below steps and check if it helps.
- Obtain the IP address of the printer – You can touch the “wireless” icon on the printer control panel to get the IP address.
- Type the IP address on your web browser to obtain the printer EWS page on your computer.
- Go to "Network" tab - General - Select "Network protocols" - Select "Enable IPv4 only" (or similar) - Apply the settings.
- Go to the “Network” tab – Click on “Wireless (802.11) – Then click on “Network address (IPv4)
- Click on the radio button which says “Manual IP” and then click “Suggest a manual IP address” to give a manual IP address to your printer.
- Click on radio button which says “Manual DNS Server” and under manual preferred type 8.8.8.8 and under manual alternate type 8.8.4.4 (This is Google DNS server address)
Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!
