Showing DIRECT-2a-HP M233 LaserJet Driver is unavailable after installing/connecting the printer in wi-fi mode

I looked at the users manual and  did not read any warning that the Wi-Fi direct could not be used at the same time that the printer was connected to the router.  Some printers cannot use both at the same time.

Make sure that Wi-Fi direct is turned on.  From page 31

For Wi-Fi direct setup click here.

this is useful as it bypasses  the router and there is no need to program the router.

Printer Reference m233sdw

Let me know if you have a flex system (Wi-Fi boosters or repeaters) as the setup is much more complicated when using the router type of connection.  Using Wi-Fi direct there is no need for the router.

Wireless operations are compatible with 2.4 GHz and 5.0 GHz operations
