Product: On front of printer

Hi I've got a HP designjet 500 Plus well that's what it says on the front of Printer but it says HP designjet 800 (c7779b) when plugged into computer. Don't know if this is relevant to my problem but I cannot select A1 print size in paper size dropdown when trying print a pdf any no what I'm doing wrong. I have made custom size paper in page setup through Word document but when I go to do it on a PDF that A1 in the paper size dropdown is not highlighted cannot click it??
