How can I disable printer notifications everytime I print? I have tried repeatedly to click "Settings" and disable notifications but nothing changes. I am using Windows 10 and the printer is a network (ethernet) connected printer.
When I go to Printer Properties and click on the Advanced tab, this entire tab is greyed out. Do I have to do this with Administrator privileges? My Windows Login is the Administrator of this machine.

Hello, @GetawayMike
You can check the printer properties options to disable the notifications, if available.
Follow the steps under "Use Device Settings tab in the property page to enable or disable SNP".
Also, check this solved forum thread with a similar issue: https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Mobile-Printing-Cloud-Printing/How-to-stop-constant-pop-ups-re-printer...
Hope that helps! Let me know!

Hello, @GetawayMike – Hope you are well 🙂
Allow me to welcome to HP Support Forums! It is a great platform to get help from the community, get suggestions and find what has worked for others!
I see that you are having constant pop-ups on your HP LaserJet printer. Are you getting the pop-ups on your printer screen or on the PC? Also, please let me know the exact pop-up that you are getting.
Alternatively, try to reinstall the printer drivers to try and fix the issue. Here are the steps:
- Unplug the USB cable from the printer and computer if present.
- Go to Control panel – Programs and feature – Select all the HP LaserJet printer entries and uninstall them.
- Restart your computer.
- Now, click on http://hp.care/2oFOQnv and enter the printer model to download and install the printer drivers.
- Connect the USB cable if prompted and follow the onscreen instructions to complete the installation.
- Once done, open the printer software and go to settings to try and hide the pop-ups.
Let me know if that helps!
Good luck 🙂

Thank you for your reply.
This printer is on a network, not connected via USB cable. The notifications are the ones that show up on the PC screen in the lower right corner. Notifications on the printer screen are not an issue.

This did the trick. Thank you very much.
It did require a few more steps than outlined in the answer, at least using Windows 10. Here are the clicks I made:
Right click Start>Settings>Devices Bluetooth, Printers, Mouse>Printers & Scanners>Select the printer in Question>Manage>Printer Properties.
At that point, if you go to Device Settings everyhting is grayed out. You have to go to the bottom left of the Printer Properties pop-up window and choose Change Properties. Only then can you choose device settings and scroll down to Installable Options and chnage the Printer Status Notification to Disabled.
Thanks again for showing the right path to start on.
