OfficeJet 8710
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My wife has an OfficeJet 8710 on our home network. It's our only color printer so I need to have it available to my Win10 PC.  The 8710 scanning function interferes with my USB attached Fujitsu scanner which sees the 8710 as an occupying force.  I need to disable the scanning functionality of the 8710 in my Win10 software drivers.  As it is I have to remove the 8710 software in order to scan, then reinstall the package to print color.  Anybody know how to disable scanning in the 8710 drivers while leaving print intact?

Hi,

Right-click the Start button, select Device Manager.

Expend the Imaging Devices category.

Right-click any instance of the printer model there and select Disable Device, be sure to confirm any prompt.

Restart the PC and check if that may help.
