I have a Samsung Xpress SL-M2070 printer, and there is not any driver to download anymore. There are no drivers listed on the driver page of the website.  And HP Smart app doesn't find it on my system since I don't have the driver to install it beforehanded as required.

So I can't find any way to install my printer without the drivers. The support doesn't even recognize my printer model series in order to get in touch with them.

Hello! I understand your frustration. Finding the right driver can be tricky, especially after the Samsung printer division was acquired by HP. The good news is that the drivers for the Samsung Xpress SL-M2070 series are still available and are now hosted on the HP Support website. It sounds like you may have been looking in the wrong location on the HP site, or perhaps the site didn't recognize the model name when you typed it in.

Here is the direct link and a reliable method to find your drivers:

1. Direct Driver Link

HP has a unified page for all the M2070 series printers.

 * HP Software and Driver Downloads for the Samsung Xpress SL-M2070 Series

(You can insert the actual link here—I am unable to provide live links, but you can search for "Samsung Xpress SL-M2070 driver HP" and use the first official result.)

2. Check the Operating System (OS)

On that download page, make sure the website has correctly identified your Operating System (OS).

 * If you are running Windows 11, the website may default to showing an older OS or the correct OS may not show drivers.

 * Solution: Manually select Windows 10 or a recent version of Windows 8.1. The Windows 10 driver is often compatible with Windows 11.

3. Use the Samsung Universal Driver

If you still cannot find a specific driver package, the recommended solution is the Samsung Universal Print Driver (UPD).

 * Search for and download the latest version of the Samsung Universal Print Driver (UPD) for Windows.

 * This single driver is designed to work with almost all recent Samsung laser printers, including your SL-M2070. Install this, and then try adding your printer through the standard Windows process.

Regarding HP Smart App

The HP Smart App is primarily designed for newer HP devices. Since your printer is an older Samsung model, the app may not be required or compatible. The best way to get it working is to install the traditional driver first.

I hope this helps you get your printer installed! Let us know if you have any trouble with the Universal Print Driver.
