HP M601
Microsoft Windows Server 2019

When we install the driver from HP's website for the printer HP M601 we do not have the option to choose tray 3 and 4. Can anyone help with drivers for that or any other hint to enable additional trays. We do only have access to the 2 trays build in the printer - not the added 

 

Printer: HP LaserJet Enterprise 600 M601-printerserien

Tried drivers from: https://support.hp.com/dk-da/drivers/selfservice/hp-laserjet-enterprise-600-printer-m601-series/4184...

My expertise with anything "Laser" is limited.

That said, the following might help...

 

Control Panel > icon view > Devices and Printers >

Right-Click Printer > Printer Properties > tab Device Settings >

Beneath Installable Options > Tray #  > Select Installed > OK

 

The User Guide mentions the Tray menu setup - this is not likely the issue if you don't even see the trays, but it is worth a look to see if you find anything that sounds relevant.

Take a look at the Embedded Web Server (EWS) to see what is available for Tray and Paper Management.

I would guess the location for the information is OTHER than shown in the example...

 

EWS – Browser – Tray and Paper Management

Open your favorite browser > type / enter Printer IP address into URL / Address bar

Tab Settings > Preferences > Tray and Paper Management

If applicable, check the Advanced section (at the bottom of the Tray and Paper Management menu)

Click Apply to save changes
