HP LaserJet MFP M28w
Microsoft Windows Server 2012

I want to install a scan drivers on server for scaning by network.

I have an operating system Windows Server 2012 R2 Standart (russian).

Screenshot_2.png

I downloaded a driver.  (https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-laserjet-pro-mfp-m28-m31-printer-series/16647082...) by choosing "Windows Server 2012 R2"

I'm connecting to the server by RDP and traing to install the driver. On "step 3" i have a message, it says "The Operating system of this computer is not supported. ...".

How can it be?

Hi,

Follow below steps to install the printer drivers on a Server, these must be installed using an MSIEXEC command for a Server  OS and not by following a standard installation:

https://support.hp.com/gb-en/document/c03351547

See the 'Customize the installation' section, be sure to add an ENTERPRISE=YES argument to successfully install the software.

Please search for HP and open the HP Laserjet Pro M28 software, then select Connect a New Printer.

May you see any difference while using the graphical interface to configure the device?

I was tried this:

1. I found the HP Laserjet Pro M28 software (DeviceSetupLauncher.exe) and Run it "As Administrator"

2. On step 1 selected Connect a New Printer

3. On step 2 selected Manual configurations

4. On step 3 selected Wireless network

5. On the next step i checked in the chekbox "The device is already connected to my wireless network"

6. On the next step select "Connected" and I enter the IP address manually.

7. On the next step says what printer and server are on different subnets so I press "Next"

8. On the next step show me a progree bar and says Network devise is installing... then i have got an Error.

Here the log:
