I have a new HP LaserJetM236dw. During the setup - after printer was connected to wifi, I got the EBS00P0013 error code, and I am unable to finish setup.
However the printer prints when I fired a job from my mobile phone. I look up printer information on HP Smart and the network information says printer is connected to wifi (which is why it is able to print from a mobile phone).
What is the impact of this error? What will I miss?
thanks.

Hi @SRIRAM-D,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
Try these steps:
Incomplete Setup:
- Although basic functions like printing from a mobile device are working, the error indicates that the setup process was not fully completed. This might mean certain settings and configurations were not finished or verified.
Potential Missed Features:
- Firmware Updates: Without completing the setup via HP Smart, you may miss out on automatic firmware updates. These updates include important security patches and performance improvements.
- Web Services: Features like HP ePrint which allow you to print from anywhere using your email might be incomplete.
- Advanced Configuration: Other advanced features and settings within HP Smart might not be fully accessible or configured correctly.
User Experience:
- Dashboard Alerts: The HP Smart Dashboard provides alerts (including warnings and errors) to help manage and troubleshoot the printer.
- Account Synchronization: Full synchronization between your HP account and the printer might not be established, limiting remote features like mobile fax and advanced scan options.
Troubleshooting Steps:
Restart Setup:
- Turn off the printer, restart HP Smart, and attempt the setup again to resolve any temporary glitches.
Check Network Connection:
- Confirm that the printer and your mobile device are connected to the same network.
Re-enable Web Services:
- Ensure Web Services are enabled on your printer as these are crucial for remote printing functionalities. You can do this from the printer's front panel.
Verify HP Account:
- Sign in or create your HP account within the HP Smart app, ensuring all features can be activated.
I hope this helps.
