Printer is Envy 5660, using HP Instant Ink; no previous problems. An HP agent helped me add a second printer to my Instant Ink account a few days ago. Today I discovered that the Envy 5660's  touchscreen no longer allows me to copy or scan. Other touchscreen options are not working correctly. Wondering if somehow the addition of the second printer somehow caused this. Thank you for any advice!

Hi @Mphs,

Welcome to HP Support Community!

We noticed that this thread hasn't had any updates in a while since your original post; while this is rare, we didn't want this post to remain unanswered, so, here's the solution to your query. We hope it helps you and everyone viewing this post 😊

  1. Restart the Printer:

    • Turn off the printer completely and unplug it from the power source.
    • Wait for about 60 seconds before plugging it back in and turning it on. This can sometimes resolve minor glitches.
  2. Check for Firmware Updates:

    • Ensure your printer has the latest firmware updates installed. You can check for updates through the HP Smart app or on the printer's settings menu if possible.
  3. Perform a Hard Reset:

    • If restarting the printer doesn't work, try performing a hard reset. This usually involves unplugging the printer and plugging it back in while holding certain buttons. Check the printer's user manual or HP's support site for specific reset instructions.
  4. Reconnect to the Network:

    • Verify that the printer is properly connected to your network. Sometimes, network issues can affect touchscreen functionality, especially if the printer is trying to access network services.
