Envy 6055
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

After working correctly for months, my Envy 6055 is now perpetually offline! It was connected to multiple devices (4X windows 10 laptops and 2X Android phones) and printing worked. But the other day none of them could connect. All devices are connected to the same wireless network and I have not changed my ISP or router since the printer was first connected.

One other thing is the the power and wifi buttons on the back of the printer are unresponsive. I tried pushing the power button thinking turning it off/on might fix things but nothing happened. So I held the power button down...again nothing. I had to unplug the printer to turn it off. Same thing for the wifi button on the back. Pressing and releasing does nothing. Pressing and holding it down does nothing. The buttons on the display panel do work. I can print status reports and info pages.

Any ideas what to try next? Remove the printer from all devices and start over?

@Ericmergen, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

To know how to connect the printer to the wireless network using the WPS method, kindly refer to page 26 of the user guide.

  • Make sure the printer and the PC are connected to the same wireless network.
  • Either a 2.4GHz network or a 5GHz network.
  • If you have a Dual-band router and both 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks share the same name/SSID, the printer will not be able to connect to the network. In this case, contact your Internet service provider to assign different names to both the networks.

Use the HP Smart app to print and scan from your Win 10 PC(Wireless connectivity)
