Hi. Could you please tell me if the Envy 6455e printer does not work without internet access?
Neither printing nor scanning will work?
With internet access, the printer is visible from the computer and can be used with "HP Smart" software.
I installed the "HP Universal Scan - Full Feature Software and Driver 51.8.5837 411.1 MB Apr 17, 2023 drivers".
But they don't see the printer when it's connected via a router or when it has a Direct connection.
Is this normal?
Can it only work when the internet is connected and with "HP Smart" only?

Hi @_Aleksandr_,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
The HP Envy 6455e printer should be able to work without an internet connection, but some features may be limited. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try.
- Check the connection between your computer and printer: Make sure the printer is properly connected to your computer via USB or Wi-Fi Direct. If you're using a USB connection, try using a different cable or port.
- Restart both the printer and computer: Turn off both the printer and computer, wait a few seconds, then turn them back on. This can often resolve connectivity issues.
- Check the printer's settings: Make sure the printer is set as the default printer in your computer's settings. Also, check that the printer is not set to offline mode.
- Try printing from another device: If you have another device available, such as a phone or tablet, try printing from it to see if the issue is with your computer.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
