Hi! I am desperate for help! Printers hate me. They ALWAYS break on me! I spent a bit more money on this one and now it won’t work! I send the job from my iphone8 plus to the printer and it’s all ok - the printer receives the job and sounds and looks like it’s printing but there’s no ink at all on the page. Before this, it was at least printing *something* but the page had line skips and fading. So I bought new ink cartridges and installed them. I’ve tried unplugging the machine, buying and installing new print cartridges, cleaning the black ink cartridge... all to no avail. I don’t know what else to do. PLEASE HELP!

@LittlechickyD, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

 

Are you using HP genuine ink cartridges?

Try making a standalone copy in black and color to check if that works. By this, we can conclude if this is a hardware or a driver issue.

 

Update the printer firmware

On the printer screen, go to Setup > Tools > Update the printer

Perform steps 10, 13, and 8 from this document - Black or Color Ink Not Printing, Other Print Quality Issues
