I have no idea where the printer software is and I’m trying to set up the printer and wireless. I was able to find the printer via wireless but when I go to add the printer it says it needs a name. Also if I go the other route I don’t have an IP address. I did the configuration page and the IP address is not there. Some pass, some fail. What do I need to download or how do I get free tech support? This is a super old printer. I’ve tried the HP smart app but it’s not recognizing my Microsoft account as having a device. Please assist.

You can download the printer driver from here- https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software12/HP_Quick_Start/osx/Applications/ASU/HPPrinterDrivers5.1.dm...

 

Refer to the document Connect to a Wireless HP Printer for alternate connectivity methods.

 

If you still have issues, use the guided troubleshooter Troubleshooting | Wireless Printing Center for instruction to isolate and resolve the issue.
