I moved to NZ from the US and brought over my printer. I now need replacement cartridges and bought the ones in NZ that fit the printer. I did not know that the printers have a region associated with them (feels so old school). How can I change the region code to NZ so I can use the cartridges I bought? Thanks for your help.

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

 

Yes, we'll have to do a region reset.

 

To do a printer region reset you need to meet the following conditions:

 

1. The printer should be connected using a printer USB cable to the computer.

2. You need to have the printer full feature software installed on your computer. Also, let us know the Operating System installed on your Computer.

3. You need to have all the cartridges either from the region from where the printer was purchased originally or the new region to which you want to reset it to.
