Hi @Jeffers5 ,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you are facing an issue with your HP DeskJet 2600 is struggling to reconnect to WiFi. The solid information light and flashing WiFi light indicate a connection issue.

Here’s a step-by-step guide to resolve this:

Step 1: Reset Network Settings

  1. Reset the printer’s network settings by pressing and holding both the Wireless button and the Cancel button on the printer’s control panel for 5 seconds until the wireless light blinks.
    • This will restore the default wireless settings.

Step 2: Reconnect the Printer to WiFi

  1. Use the HP Smart app to reconnect:
    • Download the HP Smart app on your phone or computer if you haven’t already.
    • Open the app and choose to Add a Printer.
    • Follow the on-screen instructions to connect the printer to your WiFi network. You may be asked to enter your WiFi credentials again.
  2. If the above method doesn’t work, try the WiFi Protected Setup (WPS) method:
    • Press the WPS button on your WiFi router (check your router for the WPS button).
    • Within 2 minutes, press and hold the Wireless button on your printer until the blue WiFi light starts blinking.

Step 3: Reboot Router and Printer

  1. Restart your router by unplugging it for 30 seconds and then plugging it back in.
  2. Turn off your printer and wait for 30 seconds, then turn it back on.

Step 4: Check WiFi Signal

Make sure that:

  • The printer is close to your router.
  • No physical obstructions are blocking the WiFi signal.

Step 5: Update Printer Firmware Update the firmware on an HP printer

  • If possible, check for any printer firmware updates through the HP Smart app or HP’s website.

If these steps don’t work, there might be an issue with your WiFi network or the printer’s WiFi module.
