HP Color LaserJet MFP M277dw

Hi,

I have a still perfectly working (but unfortunately out of support) HP Color LaserJet MFP M277dw printer.

I have browsed the printer HP website, but I am unable to pick out a link for checking available new firmware, and then eventually upgrade it.

Any help will be welcome.

Regards,

Tshikose

Hi

https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-color-laserjet-pro-mfp-m277-series/7089945/model...

has some things there.

Drivers and utilities from XP and Server 2003 upto W10 64bit.

Hi,

I thank you for your reply, but I am not interested in drivers, but firmware.

The printer actually runs with a firmaware dated on 20160921.

I was expecting a newer since vulnerabilities had been recently published regarding the WPA used in wifi.

It seems a if HP has totally stopped supporting this model.

It is a pity, as the hardware still performs very well.

Looks like HPs support pages have a bad user journey!

Rather than having a tab for firmware, HP assume that everyone is running Windows.

If you hit the 'Software' option and are running a Linux Distro (like me) it will point you out to git hub.

To find the printers firmware, change the operating system to Windows then select 64bit.

If you then scroll down you will see firmware listed which is why you couldnt find it.

...this doesnt help in this instance given the version and update date - below:

Hi,

Maybe you nailed what happenned to me, as I am using a Fedora system.

But still there is no update available.

And I doubt that they will work to avail any for this model, as they have stated it as out of support.
