Deskjet 2622
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

I have tried everything to get my Deskjet 2622 to print with either of my Windows 10 laptops. I have a new modem and router from Cox and I can see a wireless signal but printer will not print even after deleting it and reinstalling it. I am wondering if Windows 10 updates might be the problem. Senior Citizen needs your reply and help. Thank you

Run HP Print and Scan Doctor to diagnose and fix any driver issue

Click here to download the file. Once downloaded, make sure to run the file to start the installation and click on 'Fix printing'.

Try printing.

Search Windows for 'Control panel' > view by Small icons > Devices and printers

Make sure your printer is listed and has a green check on it which indicates it is set as default printer.

Let me know how this goes.

@SRX14, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

First, you need to check if the printer is connected to the computer.

On the printer's control panel, press the Wireless button  and the Information button  at the same time.

Both a Wireless Network Test Report and a Network Configuration Page print.

  • Make sure the printer and the PC are connected to the same wireless network.
  • This printer supports only 2.4GHz network. So, the PC should be on the 2.4GHz network.
  • If you have a Dual-band router and both 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks share the same name/SSID, the printer will not be able to connect to the network. In this case, contact your Internet service provider to assign different names to both the networks.

If the printer is not connected, use the WPS method to connect the printer. Refer to this document - No Connection after Router or Wi-Fi Settings Change

Use the HP Smart app to print and scan from your Win 10 PC(Wireless connectivity)

Click here to download and know more about the app.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Thank you Kumar0307,  I changed both the Deskjet 2622 and my laptop to the 2.4 G network. I reinstalled the 2622 successfully but when I go to print the 2622 printer isn't listed as one my printers in Windows 10. How do I get it listed as my default printer. This has been a 3 week NIGHTMARE for a Senior Citizen to figure how to get this printer working. Thanks again for your help.

Thank you for your help. I had a HP support person take control of the computer and printer and it was disclosed the the COX Communications 2 in 1 modem/router was causing the problem. In the past I used my own modem and router and the printer worked fine. COX talked me into using their product and that is where the problem began. Thanks again for your help
