HP Deskjet 3050a j611
macOS 10.14 Mojave

I have a Macbook Air laptop with MacOS Mojave 10.14.3 operating system. I managed to install the driver using the operating systems Bonjour device installer software without problem. However, there is nothing showing in the print queue when I print a test page from Pages document and therefore no output from the printer. I did manage to get a test print by logging on to the HP webpage link  for my printer which printed a Printer Status Report. I don't know how to fix this problem. Hope someone can help me.

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

This seems to be a driver issue. HP Deskjet 3050a printer is compatible with macOS 10.14 Mojave and the driver is available via Apple Software Update. If the printer is already connected to your home WiFi network or connected to Mac using a USB cable then you may use the steps below to add a compatible driver:

1. Use the steps available here to update the software on Mac.

2. Click the Apple menu, click System Preferences, and then click Print & Scan or Printers & Scanners.

3. Check if your printer name displays in the Printers list, If your printer is listed, click the printer name, click the minus sign to delete the printer.

4. If you see multiple printer queues for the same printer, remove all extra printers by selecting them one at a time, and then clicking the minus button  at the bottom of the list.

5. Click the plus sign , click Add Printer or Scanner, click the printer name.

6. Click the Use or Print Using menu, select the name of your printer in the pop-up menu. Then click Add.

Select the name of your printer in the Use menu

7. Try to print.

Let me know how it goes.
