Hello,

My HP Envy 7155 has been stuck on the loading screen for the last couple weeks. I have followed the following instructions posted to a similar problem by HP Support Agent  Elohi_NR
https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Printing-Errors-or-Lights-Stuck-Print-Jobs/Envy-7155-printer-screen-fr...

I have reset the printer for more than 60 seconds after being unplugged, I have reinstalled the HP Printing cartridge, I have HP Smart but it is useless because the printer does not communicate with the App when it's stuck verifying like this, which means I also can't do a firmware update or reset.
This is very frustrating, and I can not access the home screen of the printer.

Hi @KometNix,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP Envy 7155 is stuck on the loading screen and you’ve already tried the suggested steps, there are a few more troubleshooting methods you can attempt to resolve the issue. Here’s a detailed guide:

1. Perform a Hard Reset

  • Unplug Printer: Disconnect the printer from the power source.
  • Wait: Leave it unplugged for at least 60 seconds.
  • Reconnect and Power On: Plug the printer back in and turn it on.

Note: Ensure you are unplugging the printer directly from the wall outlet rather than from a power strip or surge protector.

2. Check for Firmware and Software Issues

  • If the Printer Responds: If the printer starts responding even slightly, try to connect it to your network and check for firmware updates via the HP Smart app or HP Support website.
  • Check Connectivity: Ensure that your printer and computer or mobile device are on the same network.
  • Reinstall HP Smart: If you’re able to connect to the printer, reinstall the HP Smart app and try reconnecting.

3. Verify Network and Connection

  • Network Issues: Ensure there are no network issues affecting connectivity. Sometimes, network problems can interfere with printer communication.
  • Try USB Connection: If possible, connect the printer directly to your computer via USB to see if it can be recognized and managed this way.

4. Inspect for Hardware Issues

  • Inspect for Obstructions: Ensure there are no paper jams, foreign objects, or other obstructions inside the printer.:
  • Check Lights: Look for any unusual lights or error indicators on the printer that might provide clues about the issue.

5. Perform a Printer Reset from the Printer’s Control Panel

  • Access Menu: If you can access any part of the menu, navigate to Setup or Settings.
  • Restore Defaults: Look for an option to Restore Defaults or Factory Reset.

If Menu is Unresponsive:

  • Try Holding Buttons: Sometimes holding down specific buttons (like Cancel and Resume simultaneously) can trigger a reset or diagnostic mode.

6. Reinstall Printer Drivers

Reinstall Drivers:

  • Download Drivers: If you manage to connect the printer via USB or network, go to the HP Support website and download the latest drivers for the HP Envy 7155.
  • Install Drivers: Uninstall any existing printer drivers and reinstall the new ones.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
