Try these steps:
Verify Copier Settings
Ensure the copier settings in the printer allow for the desired paper size and are not restricted to 4x6 size.
Check Paper Size
- Raise the input tray.
- Slide the paper width guide to the left.
- Load your desired paper size into the tray, making sure it's within the supported sizes: A4, B5, A6, DL envelope, Letter, legal, etc.
- Slide the paper width guide against the paper.
Adjust Copy Size Settings
- Press the Copy button on the printer control panel.
- Use the settings menu to select the correct paper size.
- Ensure the "Fit to Page" or any relevant enlargement setting is configured if you do not want to stick to the default size.
Reset Printer
Sometimes resetting the printer settings to default can resolve unexpected printing issues.
- Turn off the printer.
- Disconnect the power cord.
- Wait for 60 seconds.
- Reconnect the power cord and turn the printer on.
Update Printer Firmware
Ensure your printer's firmware is up to date. Updating the firmware can resolve many issues including copy size settings.
- Visit HP's official support page for your printer model.
- Download and install the latest firmware and drivers.
