So I have an HP printer which I got from my friend. It works fine but the screen stays black. The printer turns on but nothing comes up on the screen. The screen just stays black. I turned it off and on again and unplugged it for 60 seconds and plugged it back in and still, nothing happened. I think the motherboard may be broken but I don't know. Please help, Thanks. Also btw here's the model number: HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M283fdw

Hello EpicUser13545,
The only way to find out is to connect another screen.

Are you still able to print or access the embedded web server by typing the IP address of the printer into a browser. If yes, then the formatter is fine and either the panel or the cable is bad or the operating system is corrupt and you may want to try a factory restore before replacing any parts. If printing does not work then more likely the formatter.

I'm able to print and also access the embedded web server by using the printer's IP. I think the panel is broken or something because the cable looks fine. But I fixed it by soldering the motherboard's fuse. I don't know which motherboard it is but it looks like this:
But now the touch screen isn't working... I think its a problem with the panel
