HP LasertJet 1606dn
Microsoft Windows 11

I have followed the steps recommended by HP:

 1. Power off printer and unplug power

 2. Plug power cable in and power on printer

 3. Plug USB into laptop USB port

The printer appears and I was able to install the HP driver from Windows. The issue is that it showing offline even though the printer is powered on. User can print a test page from the printer physically but printer is offline on the computer.

It is a new computer with Windows 11.  Is there a known issue with this printer and Windows 11?

I am not able to download and use the printer drivers from HP as they are flagged by my company as malware.

Hi - thank you for responding, unfortunately we are not allowed to download the HP drivers as they are constantly flagged as malware and quarantined automatically. Please advise.
