Hi @nyitzmoodtz,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
To use your HP LaserJet Pro P1102w printer with macOS Sequoia (version 15.1.1), you may need to install the appropriate drivers or rely on macOS's built-in printer support. Here's how you can proceed.
Check HP's Website for Updated Drivers
Visit the HP support page and look for the latest drivers for the LaserJet Pro P1102w printer:
- Go to HP Support Drivers Page.
- Search for "HP LaserJet Pro P1102w."
- Select macOS Sequoia (15.1.1) from the operating system options (if available).
Use Apple's Built-In Printer Drivers
macOS often includes built-in support for popular printers. Try these steps to see if macOS recognizes your printer:
- Connect the printer to your Mac via USB or WiFi.
- Open System Settings > Printers & Scanners.
- Click the + button to add a new printer.
- Select your HP LaserJet Pro P1102w from the list.
- macOS should automatically install a compatible driver (e.g., AirPrint or another HP driver).
Use HP Easy Start Utility
HP provides a utility called "HP Easy Start" that automatically installs the correct drivers for your printer:
- Download HP Easy Start from HP's Website.
- Open the installer and follow the on-screen instructions.
- Select your printer and let the utility install the necessary drivers.
Alternative: Generic PostScript or PCL Driver
If no dedicated drivers are available, you can use a generic driver:
- During the printer setup in Printers & Scanners, select Add Printer.
- Choose Generic PCL Printer or Generic PostScript Printer as the driver.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.

I also find the same issue after installing the latest MacOS 15.1.1, the printer has stopped working. It does not appear in any of the software or when it is connected to USB it's simply shows the correct name of the printer, but after installing it, it does not accept any command from the Mac. Kindly help with the latest support for this printer. Thank you.

Simply try to arrange a windows computer and set up the printer on that for wireless connection. That's it. Once it is installed on windows computer, it will also work on Mac and also on iPhones with all the operating systems.

My HP Laser jet P1102w does indeed work with my Windows 7 computer and others in the house. Even when turned on and able to communicate with the Windows computer, will not work with my new iMac M4 with Mac OS Sequoia 15.1.1.
When I go to “choose a driver”, there is no driver to choose from either from auto or online since the HP driver does not support OS 15.1.1.
