HP Recommended
Product: Officejet Pro 7740 wide format printer

OPERATING SYSTEM: Windows 10 64-bit

Issue: Printer has stopped printing from PC. Curiously, HP Smart works for scanning, the printer will print test pages from itself no problem, and copying is working fine as well. The only thing that isn't functioning is the print feature, which turns up a generic "Error - Printing" code.

The issue, I believe, is that the printer will not install with full drivers. When I go to HP Smart, it directs me to "Printers & Scanners," where I get an error message "Driver is not available." However, when I attempt to install drivers manually, nothing changes.

I should note that I recently changed internet providers, which was when this issue arose. But I'm not sure why it should change things when it comes to printing drivers. And, importantly, scanning wirelessly still works. So it's something with the print driver.

At this stage I have tried:
Uninstalling software.
Reinstalling software.
Downloading and installing drivers manually from the HP website.
Using the scan doctor.
Restarting both machines a half dozen times.

It seems like a version of this problem was affecting this user. Unfortunately, they did not post how the problem was solved. I would very much appreciate any assistance.
