The HP Official Web-Site has "" Details
HP policy for products no longer supported
HP Support may vary by product. Once a product is retired, the official HP support content (troubleshooting articles, user guides, how-to videos, etc.) for that product is removed from the HP web site. Additional support content may still be available via the HP Forums or from third-party web sites; however, HP takes no responsibility for content authored by third-parties.""

Hi @PeterPaulD
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.
I understand your need to keep older devices running within your home network, and it’s great that everything is still functional.
However, HP has officially retired support for Windows XP and Vista, meaning that installation CDs and official drivers for the HP Officejet 4500 All-in-One Printer - G510g are no longer available from HP’s website.
That said, you might still have options:
- HP’s Setup Guide: You can check HP’s setup resources for this printer model here.
- HP Community Forums: Some users have discussed alternative installation methods for older operating systems here.
- Third-Party Sources: While HP does not endorse third-party sites, some may still host older drivers or installation files.
If you have an existing installation CD, you can try using compatibility mode in Windows XP or Vista to install the software manually.
