Solved!

HP Officejet All in One 3830 Printer will not print jobs from my laptop but says its printing.

HP Officejet 3830 All in One
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

At this point I'm convinced that this printer is possessed by an entity that insists on making my life miserable. The first issue I had for some reason it was stop printer in color(solved that issue by uninstalling and reinstalling by using its IP address). It didn't even have the option to choose color in printer settings when preparing to print a document. Now this evil machine will not print jobs I send from my HP laptop. I'm so enraged with this issue because I literally just printed from my Ipad.  I ran a diagnose to fix but it returned results that everything is fine and printer is working properly. I have checked the plugs and everything is connected. It is successfully connected to my network/wifi. So I went back and sent a job from my Ipad and it prints documents I send from my Ipad and phone, just will not print jobs sent from my HP laptop. I'm really considering replacing this contraption if I keep having these unnecessary issues. Please, please, please, help.

@KiaKiara90, Welcome to HP Support Community!

Follow the steps below to isolate and resolve the issue-

Update the printer firmware

Download available firmware updates from the HP website

With the printer on and connected to the computer, go to HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads, and then identify your printer. Look for and install any available firmware updates. Refer to the document HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware

Assign manual IP to the printer

The steps on how to set a manual IP address can be found here.

For the DNS servers please use 8.8.8.8 for the Manual Preferred DNS Server and 8.8.4.4 for the Alternate DNS server. These are Google’s public DNS servers.

Try printing.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
