HP OfficeJet Pro 7740 Wide Format All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

HP website will not recognize my HP Officejet Pro 7740 while my laptop does.  Printer and laptop are on the same network.  Printer worked well in December.  First, sign on in January (this month), printer error stating that "driver was not available" was shown.  There is nothing wrong with communication between laptop and other printers.  Only issue is with the HP 7740.  Is HP deliberately trying to force me to purchase another printer instead of allowing me to download drivers for this printer?  There is nothing wrong with this printer.  Again, worked great last year.  Truly need help.  Need to print new documents for project.

I am not sure what is happening, but the 7740 has drivers.

Software

HP updates software periodically. Downloads shown below may be old. You should always visit the Software and Download page to look for new releases. You may need to select an operating system (OS) first. If windows 11 is missing then use 10. You can go as far back as Windows 7, 64bit to get missing drivers. After selecting the OS click the blue Open all button to view all downloads.

Full function printer drivers can be downloaded here: 7740
Full function software for scanning can be downloaded here: 7720-7740
You can find all of the software here: 7720-7740. You should select the OS and then look for the phrase "Open All" and click that. Drivers from Windows 7 and up are usually compatible with the latest Windows OS.
