Photosmart 5520

Error message. Ink Cartridge Problem. One or more Cartridges appear to be missing or damaged. Install or replace the affected cartridges. It is only the cyan icon which is showing.

I have changed the cartridge several times.

I have followed instructions on HP website but the message will not clear.  I therefore cannot print. 

I've checked whether it needs a firmware update and it doesn't. 

I've unplugged the printer and plugged it back in.

Anyone know how I can get rid of the message.

Welcome to the HP support community.

 

If you have tried all the steps mentioned in this HP document:- Click here

And if the issue still persists, I request you to talk to HP support.

They might have multiple options to help you with this.

  1. Click on this link - https://support.hp.com/us-en/contact-hp?openCLC=true
  2. Select the country.
  3. Enter the serial of your device.
  4. Select the country from the drop-down.
  5. Click on "Show Options".
  6. Fill the web-form. A case number and phone number will now populate for you.
