Hi @sbridges11,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand you want to remove HP Print and Scan Doctor from your computer so you can restore normal printing. Let’s go through a few steps to check what could be causing this and how to remove it cleanly.

Close the HP Print and Scan Doctor
Make sure the program is not currently running.
Check the system tray (bottom-right of your screen) and close it if it’s open.

Uninstall via Programs & Features (Windows)
Open Settings > Apps > Installed apps.
Find HP Print and Scan Doctor in the list and choose Uninstall.

Use Control Panel uninstall (if not found in Settings)
Open Control Panel > Programs and Features.
Look for HP Print and Scan Doctor, right-click it, and select Uninstall/Change.

Remove leftover HP Print and Scan Doctor folder
After uninstall completes, open File Explorer.
Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\HP Print and Scan Doctor and delete the folder if it remains.

Remove temp files
Press Windows + R, type %temp%, and press Enter.
Delete any HP Print and Scan Doctor files in the Temp folder.

Restart your computer
After removal, restart the PC so all changes take effect.
This clears any leftover drivers or services the tool might have loaded.

Reinstall your printer driver and software
Go to 123.hp.com or your printer’s support page.
Download and install the latest HP full-feature driver (not Print and Scan Doctor).

Test printing again
After installing the correct printer driver/software, send a test page.
Make sure the printer shows online in Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners.

I hope this helps.
