Operating System: macOS 11.0 Big Sur

I have recently tried to connect my HP DeskJet 2130 printer to my new MacBook, it did not have a USB-B input, so I ordered a USB hub, HP Smart would not recognise the connection, even though my MacBook would. I tried using a USBC-A input so that the input would go straight from the printer to the MacBook, yet HP Smart is still not recognising the printer.

Hi,

Please follow HP Easy Start below:

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software12/HP_Quick_Start/osx/Applications/HP_Easy_Start.app.zip

 

When being prompt to install HP Smart, click the Close icon and then click on "Skip to software download" and follow the steps on screen to install the HP Essential Software, complete the installation and check for any difference then.



Click the Yes button to reply that the response was helpful or to say thanks.

Thank you, this helped me to install the necessary drivers, however, when I go to print, still nothing is happening despite my printer being set up.
