HP Smart

HP Smart stopped working on Feb 21, 2021. I can't do anything with the app. When I click on the icon, it opens to a page asking if I would like to help HP Smart...? Regardless,if I click No or Yes  the page tries to open and then reverts back to the same page.

Latest window 10 update screwed HP Smart. I have spent at least 6 hours following a CONVOLUTED INSTEAD OF SIMPLE SOLUTION to finally resolve the problem, and now cant get HP SMART ICON on Desktop.. Am i Pi$$ed off, Absolutely.  why not add the ICON, or make it simple!

I like the APP, didn't like the new MOBILE FAX change from old FAX method, but oh well

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, I have a few troubleshooting steps we could try to fix the issue:  

Firstly, let's update the printer's firmware, refer - HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware

If the issue persists, follow the next steps. Uninstall the app from your Windows 10 device through All Apps list.

1. In Windows, search for and open Apps & features.

   

2. Click HP Smart in the list of apps, and then click Uninstall.

   

And, install HP smart app from here: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c04675142

After working 2.5 hours trying to reinstall HP Smart, I junked it and downloaded updated drivers, that works.
