hi, yesterday as an emergency resource i'v also installed hp scan and capture. It works, its very very slow, but it works.

I was able to scan several pages and put them in the same pdf, in the right bottom corner you have a + button, you need to change the sheet first and then press that button, it will add another scan to the same file.

havent tried irfanview yet, but i will today.

HP MUST POST A NEW WORKABLE, NO FLASHPLAYER BASED, SOLUTION CENTER!

I downloaded the Microsoft Fax and scan app and it seems to work at a reasonable speed. As a interim fix to align cartridges I changed the date back to 1 January and the Solution Centre opens as normal.

Yeah?

Well, for me changing dates is not viable, so im keeping the hp scan and capture for today, i will try irfanview also, it seemed more pro to me yesterday, and i will await for a new driver from hp, without fplayer-based, in the next few days, if not, it's definitely time to change printer brand.

IMO, HP as always only did a good job constructing printers, i would never buy a laptop from them, but it's true that they dont invest much in drivers, so HP, please post a new update for Solution Center.

This worked for me, and seems the simplest way of dealing with this surprising little 'development'. Thank you, Babalouis! Onward & upward!

Like Blaise11 I removed every bit of HP software from my pc and reinstalled HP Solution Centre. Same result, get the screen window as A_antonis. Had worked previously for years and didn't need an update.

Come on HP this is not good enough

I had no idea that the end of Flash Player would affect my HP Scanner.

But surely HP would have known in advance ,and would had started working on solutions for their drivers that depended on it ?

And wouldn't it have been nice if an HP Agent had posted "We're aware of the problem and are working on a solution" ?

It's only been two days, so if you can manage with the temporary solutions offered I'd hold back on making mass changes.

Same thing here.  I tried to find the HP SCAN and Capture mentioned by another post but it is no longer available for download.  I know it's a really old printer, but we use it a lot for scanning.  Does this mean it's unusable now for that?

I have the same problem. Since I removed Adobe Flash from the PC, I can no longer access the menu program of the HP Solution Center and only get the image as in this question. What should I do? (Printer is an HP Photosmart C4480).

Hi @Jim412

You deserve a statue in every capital of the world! I followed your instructions (see message n. 34) and the Solution Center is working like it used to 🎉😁👍. On a notebook with Windows 10 (64-bit) version 20H2, so with an up to date OS. And no trace of Flash software can be found.

In your instructions you refer to 'step 13', a step that is not there though. Therefore I don't know whether I missed an additional thing to do or if you just made a mistake with the number 13. I did not have to install a wia-driver and the final step to stop Flash from updating was not available (probably because I run W10 version 20H2). I have done the latest Windows update available to conclude everything and HP Solution Center is still working fine.

Thanks for finding this solution 👍!
