Since the last Windows 11 update, the HP Probook of my mother does not recognize her HP psc 1215 all-in-one

anymore. A few months ago I could install her printer via optional updates in the windows update settings as described here:

https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Printer-Setup-Software-Drivers/HP-Deskjet-F4180-installation-on-Window...

Unfortunately, this option does not work anymore. I got help for my own printer in this ticket but this file also does not help:

Any ideas how to solve this?

Hi @oli86

Thank you for providing more details about the software installation 😇,

old drivers sometimes take a little more effort than actual drivers.

Ok, if that driver doesn't work 🤔 then try with the next:

* Click Accepted as Solution when question is answered.

Hi @FerRX

My mother has the same problem, she has a HP psc 1215 all-in-one an the driver also disappeared on her Windows 11. Do you also have a solution for this printer.

Thank you!

Hi FerRX

Thank you for the driver, unfortunately the installation didn't work. There was an error message, see the attached image.

The user has administration privileges so the error message does not make a lot of sense but maybe the problem is that the driver is for Windows XP and the laptop runs on Windows 11. It's possible that the driver does not recognize the administrator privileges of the user on Windows 11.

Do you see another solution?Administrator Privileges.png
