I had HP Smart installed on my win10 computer.
I changed the net name and lunched the app. The app asked me to sign in but I forgot the password. After few tries I continued without sign in. The app recognized the printer. When I tried to scan it asked for sign in. I got my password back and tried to sign in.
From that moment until now there is no way to sign in. I keep getting in endless loop the app home screen. Trying to scan brings me back to the sign in, sign in brings me to home screen.
Something prevent the sign in window to popup.
I uninstalled and reinstalled the app few time with no success.
I created a new user on my computer, Installed the HP smart with no problem. The sign in window popup. I enter and can scan with no problem.
I created a shortcut to the app and moved it to my original user. Unfortunately it didn't work. When launched the app it started the installation process again ending with the same endless loop.
I attach a photo of the window that doesn't popup on my user and popup on the new user. The window name: "connecting to a service".
I also attach a video rescored of the screen and the endless loop.
hope someone can help.

Thank you for posting on HP Support Community.
Don't worry as I'll be glad to help. I appreciate your efforts to try and resolve the issue.
Let's try these steps to resolve the issue:
Download and run HP Print and Scan Doctor: Follow steps from the link: Click here If the issue persists, follow next steps.
Root level uninstall and reinstall printer drivers:
- Go to Control panel – Programs and feature – Select all the HP LaserJet printer entries and uninstall them.
- Now go to Control panel – Devices and printer – Select all the printer entries and remove the device.
- Then press the "windows key" + "r" to get the "Run" window open - Type "printui.exe /s" and press enter.
- Under print server properties, go to drivers - remove any entry there as well.
- Again, go to run window, type – “c:/programdata” – Go to Hewlett Packard folder, remove any printer related folders & files.
To reinstall, click here.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
