Hi @JOHN0012,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you are facing an issue with the printer settings or the driver configuration.

Here are a few steps you can try to troubleshoot the problem:

  • Check Printer Settings: Make sure the printer settings are configured correctly. Open the printer properties on your computer and ensure that the paper size and other settings match the settings of the paper you are using.
  • Update Printer Drivers: Ensure that you have the latest drivers installed for your HP DeskJet 2724 All-in-One Printerprinter. You can download the latest drivers from the HP website or use the device manager to check for updates. HP DeskJet 2724 All-in-One Printer Software and Driver
  • Paper Size Settings: Double-check the paper size settings in both the printer properties on your computer and on the printer itself. Ensure they match the size of the paper you are using.
  • Print Preview: Before printing, use the print preview option to see how the document will appear on the paper. This can help identify any scaling issues or other abnormalities.
  • Reset Printer: Try resetting the printer to its default settings. Refer to the printer's user manual for instructions on how to do this.
  • Paper Tray Adjustment: If your printer has adjustable paper trays, make sure they are set to accommodate the size of the paper you are using.
  • Printer Firmware Update: Check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer and install them if necessary. Firmware updates can sometimes resolve printing issues. Update the firmware on an HP printer
  • Test Print: Print a test page to see if the issue persists. This can help determine if the problem is specific to certain documents or if it affects all printing.

I hope this helps.
