So i already tried a factory reset (power button and cancel combo). I reset wifi connectivity and try to start a NEW printer configuration setup.

System finding my printer, i choose one and during a configuration a system ask me to printer password.

Even when i do factory reset (buttons power + cancel) its still say: your password is nonstandard.

HOW its POSSIBLE after factory reset ;(

 

Please i NEED your Help community 😞

Firstly, let's print out your Network Configuration sheet to see it.

  • Press the Wireless button and the Information button at the same time.
  • The wireless network test report shows the results of the diagnostic for the status of the wireless network,
    wireless signal strength, detected networks, and more.
  • The network configuration page shows the network status, hostname, network name, and network password more.

Hello @ECHO_LAKE

so i already tried that method and on that print i don' have any information about network name, password etc.

As i said - after hard reset i tring to first configuration with your application HP SMART - when i have a step to choose a WIFI network and select my network. System ask my to password for my WIFI and i put it in a password field. After that your application show me a pop-up (screen from first post).

I tried every possible print information and there is no printer/admin password info.

 Why Hard reset functionality is not working and not reset a admin Password?

I have sent you a private message with a set of instructions to perform a reset. Kindly check the same, this might help you to resolve this issue. Check next to your profile name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it.

Dear @ECHO_LAKE,

 Below you find all steps that i performed.

1. Turn off printer

2. Unplug power cord

3. Wait 5 min

4. Press and hold POWER and CANCEL button while plugin power cold

5. Printer print out document with nr 1 (red line shows that admin password is not set)

6. Start HP SMART

7. Setup new printer configuration in HP SMART

8. During a step with connecting printer to WIFI i put SSID and PASS to my WIFI. Printer connect but that same popup shows "your password is nonstandard".

After that i tried to hard reset (power button + cancel button)  with pluged power cord (printed document nr 2).

That same steps and that same  results 😞

I already did it 😞 a milion times 😞

 

power+cancel

power+cancel during insert power cord

wifi+cancel

Super combo - power+cancel and after that wifi+cancel

 

Nothing work - and tell me one thing - Why support send always info i DM - its a forum where people just looking a answers/help for a problem. Its a SUPER, TOP Secret info how to solve a problem !?
