Hi @Ginhla,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding creating an HP Scan icon on the desktop for the HP OfficeJet Pro 9129e!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Try these steps:

Ensure HP Scan Software Installation:

  • Make sure that HP Scan, included in the full feature driver for your printer, is installed on your computer. You can download the full software and driver package from the HP software download page.

Locate HP Scan:

  • On your Windows computer, click Start and then look for HP Scan in the list of installed programs. It could be listed under HP or HP OfficeJet Pro 9129e in the program list.

Create Shortcut:

  • Once you find HP Scan in the Start menu, right-click on the program name.
  • Select Send to > Desktop (create shortcut). This action will create an HP Scan shortcut on your desktop.

Verify Shortcut:

  • Check your desktop to confirm that the HP Scan icon has been created. You can now double-click this icon to open HP Scan directly from your desktop.

I hope this helps.
