Hi @JackJoel,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query.

I understand that you would like to change the paper size designation on your HP OfficeJet printer from 8.5 x 11 inches to legal size (8.5 x 14 inches), I would request you to please follow the steps:

Access the Printer Control Panel:

  • Locate the control panel on your HP OfficeJet printer. If your printer has a touchscreen, tap on it to wake it up.

Navigate to Paper Settings:

  • Look for the setup or settings icon on the control panel.
  • From the displayed menu, select 'Settings' or 'Setup'.

Select Tray or Paper Options:

  • Find and tap on 'Tray and Paper Management' or similar options available on your printer model.
  • Within this section, find 'Paper Size'.

Change the Paper Size to Legal:

  • From the list of paper sizes, select 'Legal' (8.5 x 14 inches).
  • Confirm your selection by tapping 'OK' or a similar confirmation button.

Load Legal Size Paper:

  • Open the paper input tray.
  • Adjust the paper guides to fit the 8.5 x 14 legal-size paper.
  • Load the legal paper into the tray and ensure that it is properly aligned.

Test the Settings:

  • After closing the tray, try printing a test page to ensure that your document is printed on legal-sized paper.

Take care and have an amazing day!
