@Egokings, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you're having trouble unlocking your HP Notebook and accessing the BIOS. I’ll guide you through the steps to help resolve this.

If your laptop is locked at BIOS (Power-On or Administrator Password):

If you're being prompted for a BIOS password and you don’t remember setting one, here’s what you can do:

  1. Double-check with others who may have used the device (e.g., IT admin if it's a work laptop).
  2. Three incorrect attempts will usually show a system-disabled code. Note this code.
  3. Do not try random passwords repeatedly, as it may permanently lock the BIOS.

If you're trying to access or unlock advanced BIOS settings:

HP BIOS settings are often limited for safety and warranty reasons, but here are a few steps you can try:

Enter BIOS Setup:

  • Restart your laptop.
  • As soon as the HP logo appears, press Esc repeatedly.
  • Then press F10 to enter BIOS.

Try unlocking advanced options (not guaranteed):

  • While in BIOS, press A (some models support this).
  • Or try Ctrl + F10, then Ctrl + F11.
  • Another method: Press Fn + Tab three times, then reboot and re-enter BIOS.

Update BIOS (if needed):

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
