In 2017 I purchased a basic HP computer and the HP Deskjet 3755 Printer. I connected the Printer to the HP comuter and the printer was doing the printing. But my HP Computer would not turn on and stoped working. I purchased a new PC Computer with windows 10 that was not an HP computer. I have tried several times and have downloaded the software for the printer on my PC computer but each time it has not enabled the printer to do the printing. I did temporary disable the Firewall and that part of it did work. The system also does recognize the WiFi Network and connects to it. The information that HP has virtually provided me so far online is that for Re-Installing this same printer on a different Computer I would have to first install the software and then install the software again in order to enable the printer to print. 1- What are the steps for installing the software for this printer and then again installing the software again in order to enable it to print ? (So far I have installed the software and then when the printer did not print I have uninstalled the software.). 2- After installing the HP DeskJet 3700 series all-in-one software which is for my HP Deskjet 3755 printer the last part in the set up is to type in my Claim Code for my printer on the HP Customer Account but when I do this the HP platform system informs me that this Claim already exists. After I am informed that it already exists it does not provide me with the necessary information as to what to do next in order to enable the printer to do the printing. Therefore after I have entered a Claim Code for my printer that already exists what are the steps that I would have to do next to enable this original Claim Code to work on the PC computer ? 3- I have uninstalled the HP 3700 series software but I noticed that for some of the uninstalling I am being told that it is being removed but the computer is encountering problems with the some of the software unable to remove and uninstall it. So when this inabililty to uninstall it has happened I clicked on the prompt Cancel but then I receive information that it is canceling but nothing happens. Because of this I have had to Restart my computer several times to enable the uninstalling of some of this software to be removed completely. Are there any inherent difficulties with some of the HP 3700 series all -in-one software that could be causing my PC computer not to effectively uninstall some parts of it ? 4- I have extra USB external storage with SeaGate, Would it be possible to download the Printer Softeware on this external storage and if the answer is yes then please provide the specific steps to do it in order to access printer software information from the external storage each time I want to use the printer ? ( Please provide simple and easy to understand information when providing me your reply as I am not Tech Savvy ) 5- If I am able to place the Printer software on extra storage then what are the steps to access it in order for it to connect to the printer and for the printer to do the printing ? 6- Based on your experience on small light weight portable printers which one would you recomend that has basic functions of print, copy and scan with their software as well as their brand platform system easily integrating with a different Computer models to enable the printer do its functions such as printing ?
Please provide your email reply as soon as possible. Thank you. Neda. March 17, 2019

@Pluto9, Welcome to HP Support Community!
I would recommend you to reset the printer and try setting it up with your Windows PC.
Restore network settings to default settings
● Press the Wireless button ( ) and the Cancel button ( ) from the printer control panel at the same time, and then hold them for three seconds.
● Restart the printer.
Uninstall the printer drivers
- In Windows, search for and open Programs and features
- Select your HP Printer
- Select Uninstall
- In Windows, search for and open Devices and printers
- In the Devices and Printers windows look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose ‘Delete’ or ‘Remove Device’
- Open up the run command with the “Windows key + R” key combo.
- Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between “printui.exe” and “/s”)
- Click on the “Drivers” tab
- Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom
- Select Ok
- Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows
- Close Devices and Printers
Let us start fresh with the setup, connect the printer to your network.
Step 1: Connect the printer with WPS
Use WPS to connect the printer to your wireless network.
-
Locate the WPS button on your router, but do not press it yet.
If your router does not support WPS, skip to the next step to connect the printer with the HP Smart app.
-
Turn on the printer. If the printer is in sleep mode, press the Cancel button on the control panel.
-
On the printer control panel, press and hold the Wireless button
for at least 3 seconds or until the wireless light starts to flash.
-
On the router, press and hold the WPS button for 3 to 5 seconds or until it shows that the WPS connection process has started.
Once the printer connects to the wireless network, the blue Wireless light on the control panel turns on solid.
Step 2: Enable Web Services
- Press the Wireless button ( ) and the Information button ( ) at the same time to print a network configuration page.
- Find the printer IP address on the Network Configuration or self-test page.
-
On your computer, open an Internet browser.
-
Type the printer IP address in the browser address bar, and then press Enter.
-
If a website security certificate displays in the Internet browser, click Continue.
The EWS information page for the printer opens, which confirms that the printer is on the same network as the computer.
-
On the EWS webpage, click the Web Services tab.
-
If a Web Services tab is not available, your printer does not support Web Services.
-
If a Web Services Summary page displays, Web Services is already on.
-
If a Web Services Setup page displays, click Continue, Turn On, or Enable.
-
-
Follow the on-screen instructions to turn on Web Services. If you cannot turn on Web Services, make sure the printer firmware is up-to-date.
For more information, go to Updating Firmware on the Printer.
Step 3: Install the printer drivers
- Download and install the latest printer drivers from here.
- Try printing a test page.
Also, you can refer to this document for more information on HP Connected services
Let me know if this helps.
Cheers 🙂
