VERY often I get a pop up that says "Low on Ink  Order Now~ fast and easy!.

I am not on any kind of ink program; I purchase ink from a local store, and am happy this way. I just don't want these notifications to keep popping up! I don't know where the setting is to choose what I want to be notified for. I just know it's not this.

It might be a remnant from several years ago when i was enrolled in the instant Ink program, because when I click on the link to show what is shared with Hp, am OOPS page comes up (concerning Instant Ink).

If you can help me turn this off or uninstall something, I'd be so thankful!This is the page that pops up when I click in a proviso image "View data shred with Hp".This is the page that pops up when I click in a proviso image "View data shred with Hp".

@Mom2Two, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Let us try these steps to disable the notification:

Open HP Utility > Select your printer on the left-hand pane

Click on Message Center >

undefined

In Message Center click on Settings.

In Message Center Settings de-select the box labelled "Show extended alerts for:

undefined

Select Apply Now at the bottom.

This will turn off the pop-up alerts.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Please click “Accept as Solution” if you feel my post solved your issue, it will help others find the solution.

Click the “Kudos, Thumbs Up" on the bottom right to say “Thanks” for helping!

Have a great day!

Good suggestion, but no success.

I'd already been there and unchecked everything. I just verified that all are already unchecked. (I have multiple "devices" for the same device. I checked the settings in the message center for all in the devices in the list, deleting any I was able. (The top three have the negative sign greyed out so I left them, but I did verify they, too, have all extended alerts unchecked.)

@Mom2Two

I think this issue needs some additional technical assistance that can be better provided through one-on-one interaction or a remote session with our HP Support team.

Please reach out to the HP Technical Support team in your region for further assistance.

Keep me posted for any other assistance.

Thanks, but I am not going to pay for support and unlike Apple which offers AppleCare for free, Hp doesn't offer any free support- not even email or chat! This has been a problem as long as I can remember, and t's just that I finally decided I shouldn't have to see this advertising...and I'm thinking now that you say it's not normal that this has been stuck in my computer since I stopped ordering ink--which is a very long time ago! Boooo Hp!

@Mom2Two

In this case, you may uninstall all the HP software from your MAC

The easiest way to remove all HP Driver software from your macOS system is to download HP Easy Start and use the uninstaller.

You can get HP Easy Start here.

Then follow the instruction on this support page for uninstalling using HP Easy Start.

HP Printers - Uninstalling HP Printer Software (Mac)

You will then need to create a new print queue for the printer using AirPrint if you do not want to use the HP Software.

Refer to this document to know how to install the printer using AirPrint

Let me know how this goes.
