How can I turn off the Auto-Off function for my Deskjet 2721e printer?
The settings say it can't be done because it's preset/preconfigured.
Is there really nothing I can do about it?
The printer is only connected to Wifi and we use it mostly from the mobile phones of my family at home to print PDFs from school for example.
It's ridiculous that it's auto-off after 2h, we always need to press the power button before printing something, since it happens not every hour that we need to print something from mobile phone.
What can I do?

Hi @jgrumboe,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
It seems that the Auto-Off feature on the HP Deskjet 2721e printer is preconfigured and cannot be disabled. This feature is designed to save energy by turning off the printer after two hours of inactivity. Unfortunately, since it is a preset configuration, there is no direct way to turn off this function.
However, you might consider the following tips to manage the Auto-Off limitations:
Regularly Use the Printer: Make sure to print something occasionally to prevent it from going idle. Even a small task every couple of hours can keep it active.
Remote Management: Use the HP Smart app to manage and start the printer remotely. This way, you can ensure the printer is ready by turning it on through the app before sending the print jobs from your mobile devices.
Time Your Print Jobs: Plan print jobs around the times you regularly use the printer to reduce the chances of it turning off due to inactivity.
I hope this helps.
