Hp Officejet 6968 Not allowing Duplexing

HP Recommended
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Until yesterday I was able to choose duplex printing when printing a document. So I uninstalled the software. I then reinstalled the basic software and drivers again. No change was made still cannot choose duplexing. I also yesterday ran the HP print and scan doctor and no issues were found.

Hi,

Try following below version of the HP Print and Scan Doctor Utility by selecting your printer:

http://ftp.hp.com/pub/printers/hppsdr/patches/HPPSdr.exe

Be sure to restart your PC and allow the utility to complete the process, then check for any difference.

Try printing and check for any change, if the same remains try printing using the newly added print queue copy and check.

The scan doctor detected to drivers so I uninstalled and reinstalled like suggested but no fix. Will try again on Monday.

This is a specific version of the tool, 5.0.7, intended for a Printer Offline condition and perform different tasks, the behavior you describe is expected from the standard version of the tool, so please give it a try using the link included in my reply.

I ran the HP Print and Scan Doctor 5.0.7. I received all green checks on the printer. Do you have any other suggestions?

Hi,
Make sure the Automatic Duplexing option is enabled:

Enter Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
Right click the printer icon, then click Printer Properties.
Click the Device Settings tab.
Set the Automatic Two-Sided Duplex Accessory as installed and click OK to save the change.

Now try printing on both sided and check if you may see any difference.

Also, what application are you printing from? May you see any difference when printing from other applications such as MS Word, Adobe Reader, Google Chrome, etc. as an example?

Regards,
Shlomi
