HP LaserJet Pro M1136 Multifunction Printer
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have trouble installing driver of my HP LaserJet Pro M1136 Multifunction Printer.

I have installed/uninstalled HP Smart several times. But it doesn't recognize my printer. Here is the screenshot:Hp SmartHp Smart

I also have tried HP Easy Start. It has always the same error. Here is the screenshot:

Even tried HP Printer Scanner Doctor. It redirects directly to driver site, which is no use as I already have downloaded the driver.

Is there any simple solution to this issue?

Thanks for your trouble.

I've already tried all this. But have no luck.

Biggest issue is, its not giving any error message.

But finally, I got original driver disc from a friend of mine. And its installed properly now.

To sum up the solution, is that, you must have original driver disc with you else printer won't work.

Thanks for your reply.

But I've already downloaded this 10-11 times. And it's not working.

If anything else you could suggest, that'll be great.

Do you get any error message while installing the full feature printer driver?

If the printer driver does not detect the printer while connecting the USB cable, try these tips and procedures to help troubleshoot and avoid USB connectivity issues.

  • Restart the printer and the computer: Restarting the computer and the printer can clear possible error conditions.

  • Reconnect the cable: Disconnect and reconnect the USB cable from the printer and the computer.

  • Connect to a different USB port: Connect the cable to a different USB port on the computer.

  • Disconnect from a USB hub or docking station: If you are using a USB hub or docking station, try connecting the cable directly to the computer.

  • Try a different USB cable: Use a different USB cable. HP supports USB cables less than 3 m (9 ft 10 in) in length.

Meanwhile, you can also try installing the printer using the Windows Built-in Print Driver: Click here
