Hi @Court10171,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I understand you've forgotten your HP printer's password for setup or internet connectivity. There are a few steps you can take to reset or retrieve it:

Check the Printer Sticker:

  • Some HP printers come with a default password that might be listed on a sticker on the printer itself.

Reset the Embedded Web Server Password:

  • Access the printer's Embedded Web Server (EWS):
    • Connect your computer to your printer's network.
    • Open a web browser and enter the printer's IP address to access the EWS.

  • Once inside, navigate to the 'Settings' or 'Security' menu.

  • Look for the option to 'Set Password' and enter a new password. You might be required to enter an old password to change it; in this case, reset the entire EWS settings.

Perform a Network Reset:

  • This might not reset the admin password, but it will help if the network password needs to be changed:

    • On the printer's control panel, access the wireless or network menu.

    • Locate and select the option for 'Restore Network Defaults' or a similar option that resets the Wi-Fi settings.

      I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
