@Jan801, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Connectivity Issues for HP Laser Jet Pro 15W Printer!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

When your HP Laser Jet Pro 15W printer is unable to connect to your new internet plan, there are several steps you can follow to resolve the issue:

Check the Printer’s Wi-Fi Connection

Wi-Fi Light Status: The blue Wi-Fi light on your printer should be stable, not blinking. A flashing light indicates that the printer is not connected to the Wi-Fi network.

Restore Wi-Fi Setup Mode: If the printer's Wi-Fi settings were configured for an older network, you might need to restore the printer to Wi-Fi setup mode:

  • For printers with a touchscreen: Open the Wireless or Setup menu, select Network Setup or Settings, and then choose Restore Network Settings.
  • For printers without a touchscreen: Refer to the HP Printer Setup (HP Smart app) for instructions specific to your model.

Ensure Network Compatibility

  • Network Frequency: Ensure your router is set to a 2.4 GHz network if it's dual-band (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz), as some printers only support the 2.4 GHz frequency.

Set Up Using the HP Smart App

Ensure Device Proximity: Make sure your printer and the device running the HP Smart app are near the router.

Network Connection: Confirm that your device is connected to the same network you want the printer to connect to.

Bluetooth and Location Services: Enable Bluetooth and location services on your mobile device as they assist in printer detection.

HP Smart App: Visit the HP Smart for Desktop page and follow guided instructions to add the printer:

  • Open the HP Smart app, click 'Add Printer' if your printer is not listed, and go through the setup process.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
