@Erika861, Hello and welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for posting your question. I'm here to help you get things back on track.

I understand you're having trouble setting up your new HP printer. No worries, I'll guide you through the setup process step by step. Here's how to get started:

Step-by-Step Guide to Set Up Your New HP Printer

Unbox and Power On

  • Remove all packaging materials from the printer.
  • Plug in the power cord and turn on the printer.
  • Install the ink cartridges and load paper when prompted on the printer screen.

Connect the Printer to Wi-Fi

You can connect your printer using the HP Smart app, which simplifies the setup.

Download the HP Smart App: HP Smart

Using HP Smart to Connect:

  1. Open the HP Smart app and sign in or create an HP account.
  2. Tap “Set Up a New Printer”.
  3. The app will search for printers in setup mode. Select your printer.
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions to connect the printer to your Wi-Fi network.

💡 Make sure your phone or computer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network you want the printer to use.

Install Printer Drivers (if needed)

If you're using a PC or Mac, the HP Smart app usually installs the drivers automatically. If not, you can manually download them: Official HP® Support

Print a Test Page

Once setup is complete, try printing a test page from the HP Smart app or your computer to confirm everything is working.

I hope the information shared has been useful and resolves your concern.

Wishing you a smooth and hassle-free experience ahead!
