Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:

  • Does the copy print out the same way?
  • What's the application you are trying to print from?
  • Have you tried printing from a different application or device?

While you respond to that, let's print a Print Quality Diagnostic page –

  • Open the HP Smart app, and then print the Print Quality Diagnostic page.
  • Open HP Smart and select your printer.
  • Click Printer Reports, or click Tools and then click Printer Reports.
  • The list of reports is displayed.
  • Select Print Quality Report.
  • The printer prints the Print Quality Diagnostic page.
  • Example of a Print Quality Diagnostic page without defects

Post the Print Quality Diagnostic page here so we can help you further.

It has now corrected itself. I'd turned it off and not used it for a day; when I came to use it again, the option to print in colour appeared. I have no idea why but it now works!
