Note for common printer problems
Customers receiving the"will damage your computer" message along with others like "unable to access cups/tmp" or "'@%' cannot be opened" need to update their version of the macOS. I cannot get my HP OfficeJet Pro 8030 Series printer to print.

I go through the set up process and try to print but I continue to get the message in the print queue that the printer is offline.  I do not know what to do to fix this.  It is wireless and HP Smart keeps saying that it is Ready.

Hi,

Thanks for using the HP Support Community.

Can you download and install the FULL featured printer software from HP for your operating system:
https://support.hp.com/in-en/drivers/selfservice/swdetails/hp-officejet-pro-8030-all-in-one-printer-...

Once you have downloaded and installed the FULL feature software, you will be able to print and scan.
